Snowfall: A First Look

Birth of the Crack Era

I’ve been looking forward to this show since it was announced a little over a year ago. FX just dropped an in depth first look at Snowfall highlighting one of the darkest sides of American history. An era with ramifications we’re still dealing with today.

The show takes a lens to different perspectives of the beginnings of “crack era” USA. From the street level, to its role in funding Contras.

FX has been ramping up the marketing campaign for this one for the last few months and I have to admit, I’m floored and drawn in with each commercial I see. From Boyz N the Hood to Four Brothers we’ve seen John Singleton usher in the grittier tales of urban America, and from the looks of it, he hasn’t missed a step.

So what do you think? Does FX have a winner on its hands? Are tuning in for this one?
